Thanks to my dear mother, who kept the house
well stocked in art supplies and good art books, and who set
the example by continually working on different art and craft
projects, taking me to galleries, art shows, and on forays to
the art supply store, I have an undeniable, ingrained love of
all things art.
My husband and I have known each other since
we were five, and began dating
when we were fifteen, so he pretty much knew
what he was in for when we
married twenty years ago. He opened his own
sports card and memorabilia
store when he was nineteen (or was it
twenty?), which is still going strong today. We enjoy
both working and playing together.
We're a homeschool family with four
children, ages 19 (he's in college, and with a
scholarship, too, yay for him!), 16, 13, and
11. Our daughter, 13, is also known as
my studio assistant, which essentially means
that I need someone to clean up after
me in the artroom! (You can drop by and see
