from West Michigan! I am an Optician in my other life …
since
1989. I have 3 grown (kinda) boys and 3 adorable grandchildren
that keep my Muse strong! I have done most every kind of craft
from
counted cross stitch to paper mache. I even taught classes
at the
USO when I lived in Germany. I started my first
"scrapbook" in
junior high school, the traditional... match book
covers and
newspaper clippings! My first "real" project was for
my oldest
son when he graduated from High School in 1998. I was
determined
to continue from that point. (Not!) After my dad died
in 2001,
I inherited "the box". 40 pounds of pictures and I knew
of
about 1/3 of them! That’s when I decided that I didn’t want
my grandchildren
to wonder where they came from. I may never
finish with the pictures in the
box but at least they will have
a better start than I did! So I started
scrapbooking…again! Somehow I became fascinated with the textures and
lumpy stuff
and back to basics…cut and paste! Just like a full circle!
Luckily I found the Altered Pages website and joined the yahoo
group
in 2004 and haven’t looked back!
I am so excited to be a part of the team that gave me wings!
